Dorimede, who was a widow at the time she married Simon, had a 7 year old son from her previous marriage, Joseph Chauvin. He kept his name.
3 - Adwilda Morice * - born April 5, 1871 (?) in Upton. Married Jos Desmarais July 7, 1903, St-Pierre Manitoba. God mother of Therese Maurice, daughter of Justin Maurice. The family lived in the village of Dollard, Saskatchewan. They maintained the roads of the community. They had 3 children, 1 - Paul b. 1905, bachelor, died around 1988. 2 - Pauline, born around 1907, died young. 3 - Margurite, born around 1910, married at an advanced age, no children.
4 - Victor, Raineau Morice - b. Jan. 7, 1872 in Montreal
5 - Blanche, Alida Maurice - born March 25 1879 in Upton
6 - M. Oliva Morice - born 1882 in the parish of Ste-Cunegonde. Died Sept. 27, 1883 at Notre Dame de Montreal.
* The information I have for the children of Simon Maurice is very confusing. The traditional genealogy that has been used by the family states that Adwilda was a daughter of Lucie Racine, Simon's first wife, but this conflicts with information - which I received from Pierrette Manaigre who received it from Maurice Noel - in the form of notes with attending photos which were photocopied together. The information given by Francois Maurice in his genealogy is entirely different still. I decided to go with the photocopied information and modified the birth date for Adwilda (Adouilda) accordingly but kept all the information for the other children of Dorimede with Simon as it is in the family genealogy. All this inforrmation is therefore somewhat uncertain.
