Joseph made the move from the Ile de Montreal to the south shore community
of Varennes, Vercheres, Quebec, the home of his wife Marie-Louise Petit.
The family would stay there until the time of Paul Maurice born September
21, 1811, when they would move to Saint-Éphrem-d'Upton, QU, the home of
Marguerite Plamondon, born 1814. The circle would close in the time of
Jean Baptiste Maurice, born September 15, 1857, when the family returns to
the Island of Montreal.

2 - Louise Maurice born in May 1771 in Varennes, county of Verchères. Died in Verchères Oct. 9 1841. Married to Michel Tétreau dit Ducharme Feb. 8 1790 in Varennes. Louise was the second wife of monsieur Tétreau. They had 8 children.
3 - Pierre Maurice - June 29 1777 in Varennes, Verchères.
4 - Marguerite Maurice - born in 1781.
